Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0670; 10:49AM; 190 W 40th Pl; https://bit.ly/4nriRBI; Historic South-Central; 46 firefighters achieved full extinguishment of the fire found in the garage as well as on the first floor of the home in 22 minutes. Walls and attic spaces were inspected for extension and deemed to be clear. No injuries reported. Cause of fire is unknown. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0341; 07:58AM; 11406 W Exposition Bl; https://bit.ly/3Wku7oB; Sawtelle; KNOCKDOWN: After a 90 minute battle, 76 firefighters located, isolated and extinguished fire on two levels, within multiple units, in a large self-storage facility. The 2nd level floor is compromised, requiring firefighters to create access holes. Crews will be on scene for an extended duration as they locate and extinguish any remaining hotspots. There are no injuries reported at this time. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0357; 06:34AM; 1010 S Hooper Av; https://bit.ly/4nm3xGq; Downtown; It took 41 firefighters 30 minutes to archive a knockdown of the auto and structure fires. One patient from the involved automobile is being evaluated and transported to a local hospital for burn injuries. Units will remain on scene for approximately 2 hours to confirm complete extinguishment of the fire. LAFD Arson has been requested for additional investigation. IC (incident command) has requested Building and Safety to assist in determining the viability and safety of the compromised structure. No injuries reported to LAFD members.
